context
A faster way to hire, without compromising on quality.
Hirein5 set out to rethink how companies hire tech talent, focusing on speed, reliability, and pre-vetted candidates. While demand for tech hiring was growing, the process remained slow, fragmented, and tool-heavy.
The team was brought in to design an MVP product along with a marketing website that could clearly communicate the platform’s value and act as a funnel for potential clients. I joined as a Product Design Intern to contribute to shaping both the product experience and its market-facing presence.

problem
The hiring process for technical roles is often slow, fragmented, and difficult to navigate.
Hiring teams rely on multiple tools to source, evaluate, and manage candidates, leading to disconnected workflows and inefficiencies. Existing platforms often prioritize volume over quality, making it harder to identify the right candidates quickly.
As a result, both recruiters and candidates face delays, lack of clarity, and a disjointed experience across the hiring journey.
approach
Discovery & Alignment
Early conversations with stakeholders helped define the product vision and business goals, particularly around positioning Hirein5 as a quality-first hiring platform. Through discovery sessions and review of existing materials, the team aligned on key user roles and critical moments in the hiring journey.

Structuring the Experience
Based on research and competitive analysis, the platform was structured around core workflows for candidate discovery, evaluation, and management
User roles and interactions were mapped across the system, leading to a clearer information architecture and interconnected flows. The focus was on simplifying decision-heavy steps while supporting the complexity of real hiring scenarios.

Interaction, UI & Design System
Designed clear, scannable interfaces that support efficient decision-making across the platform. Leveraged Tailwind CSS templates (Preline UI) as a base and extended it with custom components tailored to product needs. A modular design system enabled consistency across screens, faster iteration, and smoother collaboration with developers during the MVP phase.
Web & Brand Experience
Designed the marketing website as a conversion-focused layer to communicate the product’s value.
Worked on translating product capabilities into clear visual sections by creating supporting graphics and layouts. Designed key website components and collaborated closely with developers to ensure interactions and animations were implemented as intended, maintaining consistency between design and final output.
Reflection
Defining Core User Flows & Wireframes
Working on an early-stage MVP meant navigating evolving requirements and shifting priorities, where clarity was often still being defined. Balancing speed with thoughtful UX decisions required constant alignment with both stakeholders and developers.
Another key challenge was designing for complex hiring workflows while keeping the experience simple and intuitive. This reinforced the importance of structuring systems clearly before jumping into UI.
The project highlighted how closely product, design, and engineering need to collaborate, especially in fast-moving environments, to ensure the experience remains consistent from concept to implementation.
